The Golden String

I got to thinking and pondering this morning about something I said to Mango in a message....about a Golden String.  Mango was one of many who took the time to greet me and make me feel welcome in this community when I was just a baby.

We lost a great many friends this past year, names I cannot even mention or the tears will flow, Mom's got busy, the economy went to crap, some mom's and dad's got sick....some didn't get better.

But, through it all we gathered around the world to show our love and support.  So many of you came to my calling in my sorrow and grief when Sharky went unexpected and tragically to the bridge. 

I have been absent lately.  This makes me grieve even more.  I think of you all each day!  I miss you!

Now, about this golden string......I haven't went to visit Mango in sometime....along time....but for some reason I went directly to his blog first thing this morning and read about his seizure!  Why?  How did  I know?  How do us furry kids know when one of us is in trouble, sick, or need support?  I think its a tiny golden string, like a web (internationally entwined)....a beautiful golden web that is attached to us all...and...you will feel it tug..when we are needed. 

Although I have been absent, it makes me feel better to know I am so attached to you all by this little golden string and never ever alone.

Yeah, thats right! Why would a rescuer of dogs threaten to shoot one?

Makes no sense to me.

Then after threatening to shoot me he called the Sheriff on my mom and filed "criminal threat" charges against her.

The Sheriff didn't handcuff her or anything. I did get to meet the Sheriff and he was a really nice fella. He petted me and loved on me and my mom said, "yea, he is the one the neighbor wants to put a bullet in"...

I can't say anything more about that, because it may incriminate my mom or something like that.

This is Dino here.... That guy better stay the hell away from my Deetzy!

Just mom and me hung out at this pretty park!
There was geese and ducks and lil humans playing. All the little humans
petted me and loved on me and hoped I came back again someday.
Mom promised we would go back.

I am okay though. We was playing a little chasie game outside...I stopped suddenly and Deetzy didn't. Enough said.
I thought he snapped my back limb off, and screamed bloody murder until mom got to me, but mom checked it out and it was still attached.
Lesson learned....its all cool now.

A Bath, a Airecut, and a NEW baby brother.......

Mom took some much needed vacation time to spend with me. Little did I know what her evil plans were.

My neighbor, Scary Sara, showed up one day with trimmers! I was kinda freaked out at first, but then Sara wasn't so scary anymore...she talked to me and said "now now Deetzy, look how gorgeous and handsome you are" and stuff like "wow, deetzy, look at you my sweet boy"...kinda softened my heart up ya know. I love my neighbor, Sara.
She even brought me a bandana to wear...It says "Joe Cool".....silly girl, my name isn't joe, but I didn't say anything, I wore it proudly! Here are some pics






Then on Saturday my mom and daddy brought this home, special delivery...




His name is "Jigger"
He is Sharkie's brother.....YES, Sharkie's brother.
Well, different litter of course, but same mom and daddy.
He is very tiny right now and cannot play tug-of-war yet, but won't be long.


Dino here.....Mom says I am still the baby of the house and not to worry....


"You hear that, Deetzy" "I am still the baby around here...




"It's madness! Another baby in the house" I better get some sleep while I can".....


I just love my new furs......Had I known it wasn't that bad, I would have done it much sooner. I am 3 years old now, I guess it's about time I shaved. snicker snicker....

Trauma Time at Vet Doctors

Dino here
I started crying for no reason Thursday and Friday, so momma took me to the vet doctor on Saturday morning.
They tried to look in my mouth, but I put up a great fight. In the end, I lost!
They had to sedated me and when they did, I accidentally pottied everywhere, SO, ontop of having them probe in my mouth, I had to get a bathie too.
Guess what they found?
A piece of oat grass (sticker) stuck in the back of my froat!


I am all better now though, accept for that nasty antibiotic stuff I have to take.


I helped Deetzy keep an eye on the property.
Deetzy had to go to the vet doctor too, but all he got was a rabie shot so
he doesn't turn into Kujo.


I put on such a pity party, that even kitty kitty felt bad for me and gave me
lots of kissies.

Springtime is very busy around our house and mom has been working non-stop!
We miss so many of our dear friends. We heard this morning about the passing
of Jackson. Our hearts go out to their family!
We haven't even gotten to properly introduce ourselves to the new addition at Butchy and Snickers place, Katie. We hope to be by soon.
And Maggie and Mitch won a beautiful quilt.


2010 has been a very tearful one so far, but then I see all the new babies with their forever homes...So, I have learned this year that with the bad there is always good around the corner.

BREAKING NEWS

We found out our little Angel Sharkie spreaded his seeds and sprouted two puppies just North of us. They told us to come and take a look see and pick one out if we wanted too. I am an Uncle now. My mom can't wait to go and see them and take pictures for you all.



Mom told us to go potty. Whatever, I would rather play with Kitty Kitty.


Here I am looking for a place to go potty.
I was pretty curious the other day because the NEW neighbors put a plywood box on the ground and little cute fencing around it, just on the other side of my fence.
Right in my mom's back window view.
They are going to put chickens in there and Roosters.
She can hear one rooster and he sounds like he has the swine flu or something.
She said they probably put it there to wake my mom up, but my mom is up way before the roosters crow....because she was honest and said she wouldn't approve a dog kennel next door.
She said if it wakes her up she will just "blow the feathers off it".
Would that be considered animal cruelty? Maybe rooster cruelty?
Well, its not the roosters fault he sounds sicky. I think he has allergies.

My mom wouldn't hurt any critter and it should be fun for their little boy, she likes him alot.
She loves all critters and kids.

I will try to guard it and be neighborly from any predators likes coyotes & skunks, but we got some rather large snakes out there in the country and my mom says I can't go near snakes cuz they bite.

The wind is really blowing here in Kansas! It's mess'n up my furs.
Mom was out shopping for plants to put in a flower garden and came home with this....


What is this you ask?
Well, mom said a nice lady was trying to find him and his family loving homes and mom
said she had one of those and would take him.
He is part Jack Russell terrier and ?


Kitty Kitty thinks its really cool to hide and then pounce on Dino.
Here he is hiding....snicker snicker

and then the attack......snicker snicker (No one was hurt during the wrestling match)
Dino only put up with it one time before he decided that the kitties
tail makes a great play toy.

I think these two kids really enjoy each others company.

I really like it here. I got my own bowls, toys, and kitty kitty to play with AND
deetzy has been really really protective of me and gives me really gentle kisses.

Mom said here before too long she is going to get me something more my size to play with, but that it will take time to find the perfect match and I must be patient.
Daddy and I want another border collie and the right one hasn't come yet...but the angels will send one for us.
