Thank you for your warmth and kindness...

Asta's mommy made this special and we send many thanks to them in New York for putting a vision in our heads that has brought much peace.

and KC from the catsblophere saw that a very special angel made his way back to heaven and bless them over at catblogosphere for this heartfelt act of kindness, Thank you so much!

Sharkie was only with us a very short time, just over a year to be exact! He was born 10/10/09. In memory of Sharkie, I would like to post some of my favorite photo's below...

Last week I added a slideshow titled "In Loving Memory" to show all those that have lost a special person or furry friend that you are always in our hearts and we grieve with you and will always be here for you.
I had no idea that a week later, I would be adding Sharkie.

As much as I would like to leave each and everyone one of you a comment, thanking you for your kindness, I am unable to because there are so many of you! I am very blessed to know you all! Thank You.

Sharkie's Family.

PS. Many have asked about Deetz. His spirits are good. We got our first snow and he was eager to find his brother, Sharkie, so they could wrestle...
He is a patient one and he is still waiting...........

The 4-B's mentioned break-away collars and doing a post. I hope they do!
We will.... in time.... try and get the word out about the dangers of collars and playing.
I was very surprised to see that this very thing happened to many that left comments or to someone they knew. May we all learn a lesson from this tragic accident!
God Bless You All..........

Our thoughts and prayers are still with all of you! We had our own disaster almost 9 years ago and we know how hard it is to get over it. In our case, it was our pawrents' 1st Aire-girl and our 10 year old cat. We lost them both on the same day and it took our mom a looooong time before she stopped feeling sick all the time. We have never blogged about it because it is a very long story and soooo sad.

Hang in there and know that we are always thinking about you!

Aire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches (and Lana)

So, Sharkie got to spend a beautiful year with you. Good for all of you. No, I don't have an explanation either. I do know, we all know, that all toys, leashes, collars, carry a risk to them.
Glad to hear Deetz is doing okay.

What a great tribute to your special boy!!! He is surely making a great angel. We were so thrilled to see your memorial slideshow last week and we know how hard it must have been to add Sharkie. But he will always be with you no matter what. Hugs to Deetz, we know he must be missing his friend.

We too have heard dreadful collar accident stories in our circle of friends so some time ago it was decided that we don't wear them when inside the house or yard.
We have microchips, in case we slip out and get lost.
However, this can still happen to anyone anytime and at the end of the day, accidents will always happen. This being such a tragic one, we feel the weight of your hearts.
We have cried lots of tears for Sharkie but know that he arrived safely on the other side.
We know that he was in the best place with you guys and he loved every minute of that year with you!
Thank you for sharing those photos with us. He will always be remembered as the gorgeous pup he was!

We want you to know that we've been thinking about you guys nonstop...

We had our collar problems too...our last wire foxie got an S hook on his collar caught on the fabric on our old sofa...my son found him with his back paws barely touching..we were lucky....I never would have thought...

We're keeping you in our thoughts and prayers...

Hugs and kisses,

What beautiful memories of Sharkie. It was sweet of Asta & Kc to make such pretty graphics too.

We were surprised at how many injuries and deaths there are with collars. It never occurred to us.

We hope you are healing, even though we know it will take a long time.

Mummy is shocked that so many other pups are having the same problems with collars and has taken our collars off in the house and garden now. We'll be looking into those Brake-away collars.
Thanks for posting such a lovely tribute to a beautiful boy. :(

Thanks for sharing some of your favorite pictures of Sharkie.

I know what you mean about having no idea that our own furbabies would leave us so soon. I would regularly go to the Dogs with Blogs blog and there would be the news of those who have passed. Never had I imagined that Hana would be listed there one day. Such a shock, isn't it. We are so sorry about Sharkie.

We have heard about break-away collars. It will be interesting to learn more.

Sharkie was a good kiddo and a wonderful friend to you, Deetz. we have lost too many good pupsters and now Sharkie is living with the angels in heaven. we will miss him and we offer our most sincere condolences to you.

we will put up a post about breakaway collars. we try to do a post periodically to honor little Bijou, who was lost at the age of 3 months to a collar accident. we hope that Sharkie and Bijou and happy and woofing to each other now. it's very sad.

our mom still cries over Bijou and feels so guilty.

we didn't want to put up our collar posting too soon after Sharkie had left us. we want to be sensitive and give you time ...

we will put it up one of these days. our mom is such a lazy blogger that she doesn't do anything in much of a hurry lately.

we just wanted to come by and check on you. you are in our thoughts and prayers.

woofs and love to you, Deetzy and mom, from the 4Bs and our mom.

I just red the sad news and wanted to let you and your Mom & Dad know that you are in our thoughts under such terrible circumstances.
Sharkie was such a handsome boy ...
Mom is very shocked about these collar accidents that seem to happen too often. I believe she'll remove it fom my neck when she comes back home this evening.
Luv & hugs from France,
Ulysse.

I was so incredibly sad to read about your dear Sharkie's passing. I will warn all of my dog lover friends and dog owners about the need to buy only the breakaway collars. In time, may your sadness be replaced by only wonderful memories of that beautiful dog.
