Our family got a envelope in the mail with this card in it last night and mom opened it up and the front of the card said,
"If you seek my monument, Look around you".
Here is a picture of the front of the card. Kinda blurry, sorry!
When mom and dad opened it, they got tears of joy running down there faces.
This is what it said:
The Arbor Day Foundation has received a donation in honor of Sharkie from
Velcro & Penny
In Tribute, 20 trees will be planted and recognized in the Plumas National Forest!
With thoughts of comfort and peace during your time of sorrow, the trees will be a living monument to your loved one!
After mom wiped her tears away, she showed me the card and read it out loud to me.
What a GLORIOUS thing to do for my brother "Angel Sharkie"!!!
It has been along time since I was able to smile, but as you can see you have brought much happiness and joy to my facey with this gift of love!
You have made Deetzy, smile once again!!!!
Please go over to Velcro the cattledog's blog and give them slobbery kisses and paw hugs for such a wonderful act of love and kindness!

What a great tribute to Sharkie! Maybe you can go there, sometime, and "water" all the trees. You're looking very grown-up, these days, Deetzy! Might there be an Aire-cut in your future? I, Patches have an appointment on April 7th, unless my groomer has a cancellation sooner. OMD, I sure hope NOT!

Oh, that is a lovely gift to honor Sharkie! It's got us teary too because we know how much we appreciated everything that was done for us when Crystal left us. We will go over and leave paw hugs for them.
We came by to say we like the way you're training your mom. Jan jumps when we dogs bark sometimes too. She says we scare her. Huh?

We found out that Deetz is being honored, too. His name is on Mom's mustard bottle (though it's not spelled the same) and she went around saying, "It's Deetzy Boy mustard!" until we got quite tired of it and she had to give us treats.
